The Peruvian government is close to achieving its target of converting 90,000 fuel-powered vehicles to those running on Vehicular Natural Gas (NGV - also known as GNV in Spain) by end-2009. BMI research reveals that the programme is a part of Peru's president Alan Garcia's broader policy to reduce the country's dependence on oil and shift to natural gas.
