Heavy local demand in Brazil has lured US automaker General Motors Corp. (GM) to expand two of its production facilities in the country. The carmaker has announced an investment of BRL50mn (US$31mn) to expand its plants in Sorocaba and Mogi das Cruzes, both in Sao Paulo state.
