In the light of rising oil prices and government tax incentives to encourage purchase of electric vehicles (EVs), French vehicle manufacturer Renault estimates demand for electric vehicles to reach 30,000-50,000 vehicles a year. As the future for these vehicles looks positive, Renault estimates production of its new range to reach 100,000 units by 2014-15.
