China's Chery has shipped the first batch of vehicles to Argentina from its joint venture with Oferol of Uruguay and Argentina's Socma. Chery has a majority stake in Chery-Socma Uruguay, which began producing vehicles at the Uruguayan plant in 2007 with a staff of 130 people.
