South Korea's Hyundai Motor has put its plans to build pick-up trucks in the US on hold, as light truck sales in the country continue to tumble. Hyundai had planned to produce the pick-ups at the plant of its sister company Kia, which is currently under construction in Georgia. However, Hyundai spokesman Jake Jang claims it is too early to enter the US truck market due to soaring oil prices, which are affecting sales. However, Jang added that Hyundai would reconsider if the market improves and with the Kia plant not due for completion until 2010, there is still time
