Volkswagen (VW) has reported positive global results for the first quarter of 2008. According to a company communiqué, sales rose by 8.4% in Q108, against the same period a year earlier. Sound results were posted on all markets with sales on the German market, which has proved particularly tough for the company of late, climbing by 8%. In line with company data, sales for the period January-March totalled 920,000 units, with significant growth being reported in the emerging markets of China, Brazil and India.
