German premium carmaker Porsche has opened its first recruitment and training centre outside of Germany, choosing the Philippines for its base. Working in co-operation with local distributor PAG Cars Inc and the Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI), which provides mechanical training, Porsche will offer a scholarship programme at the Porsche Training and Recruitment Centre Asia to follow on from the basic DBTI training. In addition to instruction from Porsche's leading technicians, the candidates will be taught English in order to enable them to take placements anywhere in the world.
