Soaring oil prices, expensive raw materials and fierce competition are not enough to halt growth in Germany's robust automotive industry. According to industry data, 3.47mn new car registrations were reported in Germany last year, the most in the last seven years. In H206 the strength of the German market pushed up sales across Europe, with other key markets enjoying an upturn in results. German car production and exports also rose to reach record levels. In
