The Chrysler arm of German-US carmaker DaimlerChrysler, will begin production of its own mini car in China next year. The Dodge Hornet will be the US manufacturer's offering in the rapidly growing compact segment, although a local partner is yet to be chosen. Past reports have indicated that Chrysler has been in talks with Chery regarding a potential production deal, as well as other non-Chinese
