Germany's Siemens is reportedly considering three different options for the production of electronic automotive parts in Egypt. The company was approached by the country's Industry Modernisation Centre, funded by the EU, which informed Siemens that electronic auto parts would comprise 40% of content in modern vehicles. Indeed exports of Egyptian auto parts generate around US$105mn per year.
