Turkey's automotive sector is bracing for the introduction of new rules in January, set to create more choice for consumers and ignite competition. As part of Turkey's gradual harmonisation with the EU, as set out in its customs union with the bloc in 1996, the country will adopt new guidelines, which will enable dealers to sell multiple brands of vehicles and spare parts.
