Iran Khodro has highlighted the UAE as one of the next markets to be targeted by its low-cost model, the Samand. According to the company's president of exports and international affairs, Alireza Mirzaei, the model is currently undergoing changes in order to comply with Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) automotive standards, with Iran Khodro expecting permission to export the model within the next two months.
