Japan's Nissan Motor has withdrawn from talks with India's largest carmaker Maruti Udyog regarding a joint venture production plant, and will instead join forces with shareholder Renault and its local partner Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M). Nissan had been engaged in talks with Maruti parent Suzuki, with a view to building a plant with an annual production capacity of 200,000 units to be sold as Nissan compact
