Autos majors are investing millions of euros in expanding their sales operations in Bulgaria, a candidate for EU accession that witnessed the world's highest car sales growth rate in 2005, with 35.5% growth. In the first three quarters of 2006, Bulgarian passenger car and light commercial vehicle sales totalled 28,568 units, while bus and truck sales totalled 1,418 units.
