Japan's Nissan Motor sold the remaining share in its Nissan Diesel division to Sweden's Volvo, in order to concentrate on its passenger car business, according to the UK's Financial Times. Nissan has been one of the least successful of the Japanese manufacturers during the current financial year, culminating in its position as the only one of the country's leading manufacturers to register a decline in domestic production in August, as output fell by 15.2% y-o-y.
