The Mercedes Car Group - which includes Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, Maybach and the McLaren SLR - has reported its best ever August sales figures for the Middle East, with sales rising 55.2% y-o-y to 994 vehicles.For the year to date, sales have risen 28% y-o-y to 10,670 units with Saudi Arabia - the region's largest car market - seeing sales rise 150% y-o-y to 2,691 units. Representing 44.3% of the firm's regional sales, the S-Class sedan was the most popular Mercedes model, with sales rising 180.7% y-o-y in January-August to 4,729 units. Sales are set to be boosted in September
