The Latvian automotive market is growing strongly on the back of a consumer boom. Sales rose 56% y-o-y in the first half of 2006 to 11,346 units. The level of registrations fell in the first two months of the year by 18.2% month-on-month in January and 1.3% in February, largely due to seasonal consumer trends; on an annualised basis, growth was 53.8% and 36.4% respectively.
