Brazil's automotive sales results for 2005 show a marked improvement for Fiat, with the Italian company taking the lead in the overall market on the back of a 13.38% rise in sales. The company sold 405,978 units, translating into a market share of 24.89%. The company was second in the passenger car market with 45,126 units sold and also took second in the light commercial vehicle segment.
