BMI's Business Environment Ranking for the automotive industry puts Estonia in third place, the highest ranking market in the Baltic region and two places higher than in last quarter's report. An open, low-tax economy with a highly competitive environment fuelled by cross-border trade give Estonia a high rank, despite the small size of the market. Estonia's improved ratings are largely due to improved long-term economic risk as well as an improvement in the regulatory environment relative to other markets in the region. Estonia scores 55 points this quarter, three points higher than in the Q1 report.
