European investment in the US heavy commercial vehicle sector is in higher-volume than in the opposite direction. DaimlerChrysler AG and Volvo AB both have substantial North American subsidiaries among their global truck brands, whereas the US group Paccar is the only US-owned truck manufacturer with a European subsidiary - the Netherlands-based Daf Trucks.
