Italian carmaker Fiat is in a position to consider buying back a stake in supercar brand Ferrari, after returning to profitability in 2005. The company sold off a 34% interest in Ferrari to Mediobanca in 2002 as its finances took a turn for the worst, culminating in a EUR1.5bn loss in 2004.
