Autos Incentives Considered As Regional Competition Grows
January 2011 | Industry NewsEgypt's Ministry of Finance is considering a plan by the country's Industrial Development Authority (IDA) to award incentives for local vehicle production. While the IDA sees the proposal as a way to boost the industry and create jobs, BMI believes it is also a way of competing for new investment as other North African countries such as Morocco and Algeria look toward domestic production.
