Conditions Rife For Investment From Auto Parts Suppliers

A slew of investments from foreign car parts suppliers in Serbia is helping the country emerge as a major automotive production hub in emerging Europe. German supplier Grammer is ramping up its operations in the country with a EUR1mn investment. Its compatriot Leoni is due to begin operations at its expanded facility in Prokuplje (southern Serbia) from late January this year. Meanwhile, South Korea's Yura Corporation is reportedly moving part of its production from its plant in Rimavská Sobota in Slovakia to Serbia, after being lured by its competitive labour costs.
