Production To Return To Pre-Crisis Levels, But Government Needs To Counter Emerging Market Threat
January 2011 | Industry Trend AnalysisAuto production in the UK rose 27.8% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 1.39mn units, in 2010, according to estimates from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). This growth came on the back of a strong recovery in both domestic and export demand. BMI holds to its forecast of 2011 production reaching 2.46mn units, a 5% y-o-y rise on 2010.
