Export Contract Secures Future Of Daimler Plant

Daimler?s South African division will produce and export the next generation of the Mercedes C-Class sedan from 2014 to 2021. The East London plant will be one of four production bases worldwide for the new C-Class and will be allocated investment of ZAR2bn (US$290mn) to accommodate the new model.
