Nexteer Deal Stamps Chinese Influence On Supplier Segment

General Motors Company (GM) has completed the sale of steering unit Nexteer Automotive to China?s Pacific Century Motors (PCM), which is seen as a step to helping the Michigan-based supplier in its global expansion with improved access to the world?s largest car market. BMI believes such deals offer a quick route to new technologies without the prolonged development costs for the buyer, while providing investment and stability for the target company.
