Chrysler's Global Expansion Plans Unfold In Colombia

Chrysler has signed a deal with SKBergé in Colombia, in what BMI sees as a part of a broader strategy to strengthen its position in Latin America. The US carmaker has long been struggling to increase its sales outside the US. Overseas sales of 215,000 units accounted for less than 11% of its total sales in 2008 (the most recent estimate available).
