Iran and Turkey are expanding their cooperation in the auto sector, after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan revealed plans to triple its bilateral trade with Iran over the next five years. Negotiations are under way surrounding a new free trade zone at the border between the two countries, which would see the opening of a vehicle production plant and related supplier plants.
