Nissan Signs EV Agreement As Government Shows Signs Of Contradictory Policy
September 2010 | Industry NewsJapan's Nissan Motor and the Jordanian Ministry of Environment have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote electric vehicles (EVs), which seems to contradict earlier policies towards alternative fuel vehicles. While Minister of Environment Hazem Malhas hailed the move as 'an obligation to our future generations', it is only two months since the government imposed a tax on the import of hybrid cars.
