Market Remains On Track For A Record Year, But Sales Will Slow Thereafter
August 2010 | Industry Trend AnalysisNew vehicle sales in Chile continued to record strong growth on the back of the overall recovery in consumer and business demand and speedy reconstruction efforts following February's earthquake. A 68% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in new vehicle sales, to 22,962 units, in July has led to the market shifting a total 148,117 units during the first seven months of this year (up 85% y-o-y), and also increased the likelihood of 2010 being a record year for sales in Chile - as expected by the country's automotive association ANAC.
