Hyundai Targets Fuel Efficiency And Extra Capacity As Growth Outperforms Industry
August 2010 | Company News AlertHyundai Motor America is looking far beyond the US government's fuel efficiency targets, as it aims to gain an advantage over its rivals. CEO John Krafcik has committed the company to achieving fuel efficiency of 50 miles per gallon (mpg) across its fleet by 2025, which Krafcik says will require 15-20% of its fleet to be hybrids and plug-ins, with fuel cell or electric vehicles accounting for around 5%.
