Daimler Launch Set To Intensify Electric Motorcycle Sector

In view of the growing interest in electric vehicles (EVs), Germany's Daimler is looking to launch an electric two-wheeler, CEO Dieter Zetsche has revealed. While it continues to play catch up with its rival BMW in the premium vehicle segment, Daimler will be hoping that its early entry into the electric motorcycle sector will help it make a strong impression among urban consumers, typically looking for a fuel-efficient two-wheeler ideally suited for short distance travel.
