GM Identifies BRIC Nations' Importance

General Motors Company (GM) expects to sell nearly 1mn vehicles in Brazil by 2014, up from the 600,000 units sold in 2009. Latin America's largest car market accounted for 10% of GM's global sales last year and such is its confidence in the country the firm is looking to spend nearly BRL5bn in Brazil by 2012.
