BMI Raises Outlook For Car Sales

Passenger car sales in Pakistan rose 41.4% year-on-year (y-o-y) in the first nine months of FY09/10, when 86,483 units were shifted. The most recent monthly data (for March 2010) showed total passenger car sales of 11,208. The strongest growth was in the 1,300cc and above segment, which shifted 41,961 units in the nine-month period, a rise of 58% y-o-y.
