Chrysler Begins To See Restructuring Benefits

A year after it emerged from bankruptcy, Chrysler has announced its biggest single investment, which will safeguard 1,200 jobs and 'transform' the company's product range, according to executives. Backed by local tax incentives, the US$300mn injection to retool two Indiana transmission plants also endorses BMI's view that governments will influence product development.
