Committee Formed To Address Slumping Vehicle Segments
May 2010 | Industry NewsAs the Philippines looks to become a major force in the ASEAN auto sector and fulfil BMI's view that emerging markets will become major production bases, the country's Board of Investment (BoI) has established a committee to address the excise tax changes needed to support the industry. As well as looking to give preferential treatment to domestically produced vehicles, the restructured tax system will also address the slide in sales of Asian Utility Vehicles
