Nissan Shows First Signs Of Export Diversification
April 2010 | Company News AlertMexico is continuing to position itself as a global auto production hub, as is evident from Nissan Motor's Mexican subsidiary's plans to export close to 20,000 Tiida sedan and hatchback cars to the Middle East this year. The Japanese carmaker's excessive reliance on the US resulted in a 21% year-on-year (y-o-y) fall in auto production, to 355,414 units, in 2009, and we view the present move as a reflection of the carmaker's overall strategy of diversifying its exports to newer markets.
