Parts Importers Bullish, Though BMI Maintains Caution

Parts importers remain upbeat about growth in the retail spare parts segment despite a sharp 50% year-on-year (y-o-y) fall in new vehicle sales in Romania in 2009. The optimism comes on the back of an overall 25% y-o-y increase in parts sales during the year, mainly helped by the boom in car sales between 2006 and 2007, local news source Business Magazin has reported.
