Competition Heats Up In Commercial Segment
March 2010 | Company News AlertGerman truck maker Mercedes-Benz has equipped itself for a 15% increase in its production capacity, to 75,000 units, at its São Bernardo do Campo facility in Brazil, after receiving a BRL1.2bn loan from the state-owned Brazilian development bank BNDES. Mercedes-Benz do Brazil's president, Jürgen Zeigler, revealed that in addition to increasing capacity, the funding will enable the company to modernise the plant's equipment and machinery as well as overhaul its overall manufacturing process.
