Opel To Hire 700 Staff At Gliwice
February 2010 | Company News AlertAmid harsh cost-cutting programmes across Europe, General Motors Company (GM) has announced plans to hire as many as 700 new employees at its Gliwice plant in Poland by mid-2010 to help produce its new Astra IV. Although autos production in Poland fell 3.6% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 833,314 units, during 2009, BMI believes the news testifies the view that the country serves as one of the most competitive production bases in Central Europe.
