Nissan To Continue Operating On Reduced Capacity

In yet another sign of Spain's automotive production losing competitiveness, Japan's Nissan Motor has revealed plans to continue working on reduced output at its Avila plant for another three years at least. BMI points out this is the second such major revelation from a carmaker in Spain this year after Renault announced it intended to stop Clio production in the country. BMI warns that these trends could further speed up the overall loss of production to low-cost Central and Eastern European markets.
