Autos To Benefit From Road Improvements
February 2010 | Industry NewsNew vehicle sales in Peru fell 16.8% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 76,932 units, during 2009, according to estimates from the Peruvian Association of Automobile Representatives (Araper). However, with a marked optimism returning to the economy during H209, BMI believes that the autos market is poised for robust growth in 2010 and thereafter, thanks to an imminent increase in private spending and large-scale investment in upgrading the country's transportation sector.
