Mercedes Still Top Of Premium Segment

Germany's Mercedes-Benz retained its position as the Middle East's best-selling premium car brand in 2009, with a strong second half of the year. Mercedes-Benz Middle East & Levant's market share rose to 23%, while the segment as a whole contracted by up to 25%. Growth of 9% in December capped a 'positive trend of the past several months', according to Frank Bernthaler, the firm's sales and marketing director.
