Fiat Hopes To Gain Full Control Over Engine Plant
January 2010 | Company News AlertFiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT) will acquire full control over the Fiat-GM Powertrain Polska plant, a joint manufacturing venture between Italy's Fiat and US carmaker General Motors Company (GM). The diesel engine producing plant was a result of a five-year alliance between the two companies and built with an investment of EUR300mn in December 2000. However, following the termination of the alliance in February 2005, the facility became an equally shared property of Fiat and GM.
