Autos Sales Continue To Slump
January 2010 | Industry Trend AnalysisNew light vehicle sales in Slovakia - comprising passenger cars and light commercial vehicles weighing less than 3.5 tonnes - declined 6.7% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 90,426 units, during 2009, estimates the Slovak Automotive Industry Association (ZAP). BMI attributes the moderate fall to the government scrappage scheme introduced in March 2009, but other experts see it as a sign of recovery in the overall economy.
