Carmakers Target High-Demand Brazilian Market

Car production in Argentina is poised to reach a record 640,000 units in 2010, believes Cesar Luis Ramirez Rojas, the president of the Asociación de Fábricas de Automotores de Argentina (Adefa). Although exact details about vehicle output in 2009 are as yet unavailable, preliminary estimates indicate that carmakers produced just over 500,000 units in 2009, making it a near 16% fall compared with 2008.
