Used Cars Surpass Sales Of New Vehicles

Sales in the used passenger car market in Ukraine reached 300,000 units in 2009, making it almost twice as large as the new car market, insurance provider Choice Ukraine Company has estimated. BMI research shows that the used car segment could receive more impetus in 2010 if a trade-in programme is introduced by the government. Taras Kovalenko, the head of the association of used cars in Ukraine expects such a programme to be adopted by early-2010.
