Autos Sector Begins To Show Consistent Growth
December 2009 | BMI Industry ViewThailand's new vehicle market is showing the first signs of a turnaround on the back of the government's fiscal stimulus package, particularly in the passenger car segment. Thailand's total vehicle sales achieved positive growth for the second consecutive month, reaching an 18-month high of 53,271 units in October. The total was 8.8% higher than October 2008, boosted by growth of 23.4% for passenger car sales to 22,747 units, while sales of commercial vehicles remained flat at 30,524 units.
