Regulations Do Nothing For Autos Production

Nearly two years since the imposition of restrictions on vehicle imports, Venezuela is struggling to bolster its domestic autos production. Although imports have fallen as expected, BMI believes domestic manufacturing came under direct attack from the overall slump in domestic demand and the tough business environment, which significantly reduced carmakers enthusiasm to increase production.
