Scania Reports Decline In Q309 Profits

News: Swedish truck manufacturer Scania has reported an 85% year-on-year (y-o-y) decline in profits in Q309, with a net income of SEK278mn (US$39.3mn), compared with SEK1.82bn (US$257.3mn) in Q308. The decline in profits was attributed to a 6% dip in truck and bus orders in the period. However, the decline in orders has eased, compared with a 55% y-o-y drop in Q209 orders.
